Crazy For You
In 2010 MLC School joined with St Marys to perform George Gershwin's "Crazy for You". Lead parts were auditioned and the whole of middle school performed in the chorus. Involving students in a theatre experience can be for many a once in a lifetime event as well as life changing experience.

Involving students in a theatre experience can be for many a once in a lifetime event as well as life changing experience. Challenging students to sustain a character on stage with singing and dancing requires a large amount of stamina and perseverance developed over a long period of time.
The choice of musical was determined by the venue as well as our aim of bringing together our strong departments of dance and music. Having found a venue that could work for a large scale production we wanted to create a theatre experience that would fully use the resources of both departments and create another community event which would give the students a professional musical theatre experience.
Theatre music and jazz are core topics from the curriculum and music by Gershwin is great quality music which has stood the test of time.
